※「be reminded of △」＝「△を思い出す」
※「remind 人 of 事柄」＝「人に事柄を思い出させる」 |
● この構文は次のように書きかえることができます。
例）
・I never see this photo without being reminded of it.
＝Whenever I see this photo, I am reminded of it.
（私がこの写真をみるときはいつでも、私はそれを思い出す。）
＝When I see this photo, I am always reminded of it.
（私がこの写真をみるとき、私はいつもそれを思い出す。）
●「never」の後ろの動詞に３単現の「ｓ」がつくことがあっても、「can't」の後ろの動詞は必ず原形になります。
例）
・She never goes there without buying something.
＝She can't go there without buying something.
（彼女はそこへ行くと必ず何かを買います。）

●入試では次の書きかえが重要です。
・This is a picture of my own painting.
＝This is a picture (that) I painted. |
★選択肢２→「of」を消せば正しい。
※「for oneself」＝「自分で」「独力で」
★選択肢３→「by him」があるので「be painted」という受身の要素がなければなりません。「being
painted」「having been painted」ならまだ検討の余地があります。
★選択肢４→前置詞「of」の後ろにある「-ing」は動名詞です。動名詞の意味上の主語に主格（he）を使うことはできません。 |
